Wednesday To-do: April 20

There’s a lot going on tonight, but we strongly urge anyone who hasn’t seen Little Rock’s 607 to head over to FIX and see why organizers of the show call him the “rapper most likely to put Arkansas on the map.”

607 has popped in and out of Fayetteville quite a bit over the last few years, but a lot of people still manage to miss him when he’s in town. You gotta quit that.

Besides being one of the most prolific hip hop artists to come out of the state, 607 has been featured on CNN, spoken on a Harvard Law School hip hop panel, toured Russia and Africa, and has provided remixes for the likes of Röyksopp, Rich Boy and La Roux.

In December, he released a record with his brother Bobby (the two go by earFear) called
G33KS G0N3 W?!?LD, which includes the crazy catchy track “Facebook Fraud” (video below).

Good stuff, folks.

Also today, there’s a Mayor’s Town Hall Meeting on the UA campus at 4 p.m. and a free performance by poet Andrea Gibson at the UA Student Union.
