Dalai Lama events now available on YouTube

University of Arkansas officials on Monday announced that video recordings of the Dalai Lama’s visit to Bud Walton Arena in Fayetteville are now available online.

The panel discussion, “Turning Swords into Ploughshares: The Many Paths of Nonviolence,” featuring the Dalai Lama, Sister Helen Prejean and Vincent Harding, and the Dalai Lama’s afternoon keynote address, “Nonviolence in the New Century: The Way Forward,” can be seen in their entirety on the university’s YouTube channel.

UATV will re-broadcast the keynote address at 7 p.m. and the panel discussion at 9 p.m. this Monday through Thursday, May 16-20. UATV can be found on Cox digital channel 214 in Northwest Arkansas, on campus channel 22 and online at uatvonline.net.

“Throughout the summer, we plan to air both events, but it will be a bit more sporadic,” said Joe Delnero, UATV station manager.

In addition to the videos, a text transcript of both events and should be available by the end of this week at dalailama.uark.edu.
