19th Annual Dogwood Walk scheduled for May 21

If you like dogs, you’ve probably always wished that about a zillion of them would show up at the same place somewhere in Fayetteville wearing funny costumes, and lined up in some kind of dog parade for you to laugh/smile at.

As it happens, that dog parade actually exists, and it happens every year at the Humane Society of the Ozarks’ Dogwood Walk. Also, that dog parade is happening this weekend in Fayetteville. Bonus.

The 19th annual Dogwood Walk is set for Saturday, May 21 at Gulley Park in Fayetteville. Registration begins, and vendor booths/demonstrations will be set up at 10 a.m.

At noon, the actual walk will begin around the park, led by grand marshal Jennifer Irwin.

There will be contests and prizes for Best Dressed Dog, Most Unique Dog, Best Owner-Dog Lookalike, and tons more.

Registration is $25 (you may also pre-register online), and includes a t-shirt. Goody bags for your dog will be available for $15, and all of the proceeds of the event benefit the Humane Society of the Ozarks. Dog party.
