‘Find it in Fayetteville’ totes to be distributed Friday at Baum Stadium

To this point, the Find it in Fayetteville graphic resembling a shopping bag has existed mostly in sticker format.

On Friday, the bag-shaped design will become an actual bag.

The City of Fayetteville, the Fayetteville A&P Commission, and the Fayetteville Chamber of Commerce have teamed up to distribute 12,000 Habitotes reusable shopping bags before the Arkansas/Ole Miss baseball game on Friday, May 20 at Baum Stadium.

Members of the Fayetteville High School Green Team will distribute the totes to attendees for free.

According to a press release, the bags are made from 80 percent recycled plastic bottles, and are intended to counteract the negative impact of single-use plastic bags. Production of 12,000 Habitotes is enough to remove 96,000 plastic bottles from the world’s waste stream.

Each bag is printed with a special QR code, which will allow consumers with a smart phone to scan the unique code and visit a landing page listing partner businesses.

As it happens, Friday’s game comes in the middle of a really important series for the Diamond Hogs. The team is currently in a four-way tie atop the SEC Western division, and the three-game series with the Rebels this weekend represents the last chance for the Hogs to separate themselves from the rest of the division.

The Arkansas/Ole Miss game begins at 6 p.m. on Friday, and according to arkansasrazorbacks.com, there will also be a fireworks show following Friday night’s contest.
