Earlier this week we posted a (growing) list of local opportunities to help out the folks in Joplin who were devastated by a tornado that struck the city on Sunday.

Today, we learned that the folks at Smoke & Barrel Tavern have organized a benefit show to raise some additional funds for our neighbors to the north.

Six bands are set to play beginning at 6 p.m., and all of the proceeds will benefit the American Red Cross disaster relief efforts in Missouri.

The lineup is pretty amazing, too. Cletus Got Shot, Swimming, Memphis Pencils, David’s Pegasus, Messy Sparkles, and The Kopecky Family Band (Nashville, TN) will play the show, and a $3 minimum donation (if you can donate more, you probably should) gets you in the door.

Donations of food, water, medicine, and other items (no clothes, please) will also be accepted.
