Joplin benefit show planned for May 28 at George’s

Fayetteville band Dreamfast will perform at a benefit for Joplin tornado victims at George’s on Saturday night.

If you’re looking for another opportunity to help out the tornado victims in Joplin, or if you’d just like to check out a whole lot of bands, George’s may be the place for you on Saturday, May 28.

The venue, along with 104.9 the X, and Pointless Promotions are hosting a benefit show featuring seven local bands, and all the proceeds will benefit the American Red Cross disaster relief funds in Joplin.

The show will begin at around 9:30 p.m. with local band Brought To You By Us in the lounge, and will alternate between the lounge and garden stages with Dreamfast closing out the night.

In addition, donations of packaged snacks, wipes, hand sanitizer, diapers, tarps, flashlights, batteries, toilet paper, sleeping bags, wash cloths, new linens and pillows will also be accepted.

The full line up is below, and a $3 donation will get you in the door to see all seven bands.
