Concert to benefit Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund set for June 10 at George’s

Local band Jarris is one of eight bands set to perform during a Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund benefit June 10 at George’s.

It has been a rough spring for our neighbors in Joplin, Denning, and other areas affected by the tornadoes and severe flooding that have devastated the region over the last few months.

Despite the outpouring of support from the Fayetteville community for the areas affected by the storms this spring, there are still a lot of people that need help. As a result, the folks at George’s Majestic Lounge and Cumulus Broadcasting have organized an American Red Cross benefit this Friday, June 10.

The benefit features eight local bands on two stages beginning at 9 p.m. at George’s on Friday night. Admission is $5, and 100% of the proceeds will benefit the disaster relief efforts of the American Red Cross.

Here’s the full lineup of bands, who are all donating their time in order to help out. Rock with them this weekend.
