Those of you who were skeptical that Osage Creek Amphitheater would open in time for the Willie Nelson Country Throwdown show scheduled for July 3 this summer were apparently correct.
Officials maintained at a press event on May 3 that the venue would be finished in time for the show, but according to a post on their website Tuesday, the show has been postponed due to weather-related construction delays.
From the venue’s website:
Severe weather events have caused delays. Progress continues daily at the venue site. We have determined that the facility will not be ready to host the concert previously scheduled for July 3.
The website indicates that they are working to reschedule the show at this time. Ticket holders will have the option for a full refund, or to transfer the tickets to the rescheduled date.
More information, including ticket refund information will be available at the venue’s website on Monday, June 13.
