Boogie is a funny word. It’s also one of two words in the name of an event that’s coming up in Fayetteville this weekend.
The 4th annual Breakfast Boogie, benefitting Youth Bridge, is happening from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, June 18 on the patio at Powerhouse Seafood.
The event features live music by Boom Kinetic beginning at 10:30 a.m., a cajun-themed brunch at 11:30 a.m., and balloon pops for prizes. It is also one of the largest fundraisers for Youth Bridge each year.
“The Breakfast Boogie is one of our most popular fundraisers,” said Nancy Hairston, Development Director for the organization. “There’s great food, a relaxed dress code, and some delicious signature specialty drinks. It’s also a great excuse to grab a partner and head to the dance floor.”

Youth Bridge is a 501-C(3) organization that helps at risk and disadvantaged youth become responsible adults through residential and outpatient programs. The organization also provides emergency shelter, transitional living facilities, substance abuse treatment, family counseling, parenting skills, and other services.
