Weekend To-do: June 24-26

Little Feat is playing at George’s Saturday night.
Friday

Full House and Ultra Suede are at George’s for happy hour Friday night beginning at 6 p.m. After that, 1 Oz. Jig and “bayou reggae” band Stiff Necked Fools will start at around 10 p.m. Jeff Kearney from 1 Oz. Jig did a little Q&A with Stiff Necked Fools earlier this week.

There’s a benefit for our neighbors in Joplin at Maxine’s Friday night with Glory Bones, The Itch, Zac Slusher and Brian Spence. 100% of the proceeds from the show will benefit disaster relief efforts via the American Red Cross.

Rogue has a happy hour show with Tuesday Blues Project. Later on, Damn Arkansan, Carter Sampson and Whale Fire will be playing some songs.

Real Live Tigers is at The Lightbulb Club with Bloomington, IN band Waxeater. It will be Real Live Tigers’ last full-band show before Tony goes on a solo tour to promote their new record, Spirit Animal.

Saturday

The Fayetteville Farmers’ Market is in full swing now on the Fayetteville Square. There should be a lot of delicious vegetables out there on Saturday. Get some.

The NWA Pride Parade is happening on Saturday, as part of the NWA Center for Equality’s Pride Weekend festivities. The parade will begin at 10 a.m. on Block Avenue, before making its way down Dickson Street. After that, there’s an All Out June celebration in the Walton Arts Center Rose Garden at 11 a.m., with performances scheduled by Miss Gay Arkansas Trio, Messy Sparkles, and Internationally Diverse Krew (Tulsa, OK).

Papa Rap and the MC’s are playing a free show at the Fayetteville Public Library Saturday morning at 10:30 a.m. if you find yourself in the mood for some latin rhythms.

Saturday night, there’s a big show at George’s with Little Feat, Roy Jay Band and Speakeasy. As of this morning, there were a few tickets left, but this one will surely sell out.

Fayetteville ex-pat singer/songwriter Amelia Claire Card is at Smoke & Barrel Tavern, along with Laine Berlin. According to Evan from the bar, Berlin has a crazy guitar style, and “plays everything but the strap.” Interesting.

Sunday

If you’re feeling like a brunch show, you can hear Madame Ren Lovely with your eggs at Greenhouse Grille Sunday morning.

Chase Missy will be in the Walker Community Room at the Fayetteville Public Library as part of their Mountain Street Stage Music Series at 2 p.m.

There are two shows at George’s Saturday night. Big Bad Gina is playing an early show at 7 p.m., and Tiffany Christopher is playing a free show later on for Monster Mug Night.

There’s more just a few pixels below this sentence. Feel free to add anything we’ve missed, and have an awesome weekend (if you dare).
