The wait to hear the Memphis Pencils’ second album Shhh, I’m Rustic will finally be over this weekend.

The band will celebrate the release of the highly anticipated record on Friday, July 8 at Smoke & Barrel Tavern along with their friends Messy Sparkles, Acids of the East, and Basement Brew. A $5 cover will get you in to see the show, and will also get you a code to download the album at their Bandcamp page.

CD copies of Shhh, I’m Rustic will also be for sale at the show Friday night.

The Pencils are heading out for an East Coast tour later this month, and funds raised at the album release show will help cover their touring expenses.

The band’s drummer, JD Paul, will have another reason to celebrate Friday night. Messy Sparkles, Paul’s solo project, will release his debut Feeling Good Forever on CD for the first time at the show. The album was initially released back in March as a digital download via Bandcamp.

A bit more information is available right here on this Facebook event.

Congrats Pencils and Sparkles.
