Cooling stations available in Fayetteville

Update: Looks like air conditioning is back at the library.

Update: The Fayetteville Public library facility is without air conditioning Wednesday and will not be able to serve as a cooling station.

In case you hadn’t noticed, it’s extremely hot in Fayetteville right now.

Washington County is under a burn ban and was under a heat advisory until Tuesday night. As of Monday afternoon, cooling stations have been established at six places around town.

Each of the places below will be open to the public during their normal business hours for those who are looking for a cool location out of the record-breaking heat we’re currently experiencing. Chill out at one of them, if you need to.
