Hogs ranked 14 in USA Today preseason poll

The first USA Today Coaches poll for 2011 is out, and the Razorbacks are on it.

The Hogs will begin the season ranked no. 14 in the coaches poll, as voted upon by 59 head coaches at BCS Schools from around the country.

Three SEC schools, including SEC Western Division foes Alabama (2) and LSU (4), are ranked ahead of the Razorbacks. South Carolina is also a couple spots ahead of the Hogs at 12.

Auburn (19), Mississippi State (20), Georgia (22), and Florida (23) round out the eight schools from the Southeastern Conference ranked in the initial top-25 poll.

Texas A&M, who Arkansas will face on Oct. 1 at Texas Stadium in Dallas, is also ranked ahead of the Hogs at 9.

All in all, six of Arkansas’ 12 opponents on the 2011 schedule are represented in the initial rankings.
