Reverend Horton Heat plays George’s Majestic Lounge tonight with Mountain Sprout.

It’s the first Thursday of the month and you know what that means, right? Party on the square, that’s what.

Tonight’s First Thursday will feature art on the Town Center plaza, art inside Fayetteville Underground, music on the square, and everybody’s favorite alien invasion movie, E.T.

You can read more about First Thursday in the Flyer Guide we published this morning. You can read more about what else is happening tonight in the words and spaces below this sentence.

Tonight

Dallas-based punkabilly trio Reverend Horton Heat are back in town tonight for a show at George’s Majestic Lounge.

Jim “Reverend Horton” Heath and the band have achieved a cult following over the last twenty years or so, touring all over the midwest with a catchy, sometimes hilarious brand of rockabilly.

Their latest record, “Laughin’ and Cryin’ with the Reverend Horton Heat,” embraces the Reverend’s irreverent side, and is also a little more country-tinged than his previous recordings.

Previously set to play with Atlanta-based Nashville Pussy, the opening band has been changed to Mountain Sprout. As Dustin wrote yesterday, “Mountain Sprout fans, rejoice! Nashville Pussy fans, dejoice!

Also tonight, Aerosault DJs will invade Smoke & Barrel, The East Nashville Review is at Kingfish, Andy Frasco plays Party on the Patio at Powerhouse, and Mike & Grady are at JJ’s.

Is that all? Nope. It’s not.

Happy Birthday!
