Tuesday To-do: Aug. 9

Judging by the early morning tweets and photos, the new Einstein Bros. Bagels on College Ave. had no trouble giving away those ‘free bagel sandwiches for a year’ coupon books.

Parking lot party!

For those hoping to cash in on some more bagel sandwiches when the Einstein Bros. on campus opens, don’t get your hopes up. We’re told they don’t do the giveaways at every location and that the campus restaurant has a different owner.

Possible, but not probable.

Tonight

Despite it being early in the week, there’s some fun to be had tonight.

Randall Shreve plays a free show on Mt. Sequoyah as part of the monthly Music on the Mountain series. As usual, the show starts at 7p.m. inside Parker Hall.

If you’re interested in helping brainstorm possibilities for ‘Last Night,’ the revived New Year’s Eve celebration on the Fayetteville square, there’s a public input session tonight at 6 p.m. inside the Fayetteville Public Library’s Walker Room.

That’s not all, though. There’s live jazz at Scarpino, Barett Baber is at JJ’s and there’s a comedy open mic at West End.

Happy Birthday!
