UA warns football fans of fake tickets, parking passes

The University of Arkansas Athletic Department is warning Razorback football fans about the risks of purchasing and using either counterfeit tickets or parking passes.

Fans who have any doubts can visit the UA Athletic Ticket Office on Razorback Road between 8:30 and 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday or the Razorback Stadium Gate 1 ticket office four hours prior to kickoff to verify the authenticity of their game tickets or parking passes.

“UAPD is committed to assisting the UA Athletic Department in investigating any individuals or groups creating, misusing, or presenting counterfeit parking passes or tickets,” said Captain Kathryn Huddler in a news release. “An unsuspecting fan could lose the money given for the fake ticket and/or parking pass and miss the game. It is better to ensure the authenticity of tickets and parking passes by making purchases through official channels.”

Anyone attempting to enter the stadium with a counterfeit ticket could be denied admission and may be subject to an investigation, officials said. Also, anyone who is discovered inside the stadium with a stolen or fake ticket will be escorted out.

The Razorbacks have five games in Fayetteville this season, beginning this Saturday against Missouri State. Arkansas faces Troy on Sept. 17, Auburn on Oct. 8, South Carolina on Nov. 5, and Tennessee on Nov. 12.
