34-year-old Elkins woman killed in Huntsville Road auto accident | Press Release

POLICE INVESTIGATE FATALITY ACCIDENT

Fayetteville Police Chief Greg Tabor announced today that the department is investigating a fatality accident on E. Hunstivlle Road.

On Wednesday, Aug. 31, 2011 at approximately 6:45 a.m., Fayetteville Police Officers responded to E. Huntsville Rd. near S. Hunt Ln., in reference to a report of a two-vehicle accident with injuries.

Amanda Middleton, age 34, of Elkins, was westbound on Huntsville Rd., when her Toyota Corolla crossed left of center and collided with a Chevy Silverado being driven by Rebecca Emerson-Schran, age 19, of Wesley. Middleton was transported to Washington Regional Medical Center where she later succumbed to her injuries. Middleton was wearing her seatbelt at the time of the accident.

This investigation is continuing and we will provide additional information, as it is available for release.
