ESPN ‘Depth Chart’ series will feature Arkansas players this fall

ESPN is producing a four-episode series called “Depth Chart” this fall, and Arkansas will be one of four schools featured on the new show.

The series, produced as part of the network’s Year of the Quarterback initiative, will be comprised of hour-long episodes chronicling the lives of young people who play the position. The Arkansas episode is set to air at 6 p.m. Oct. 26, and will explore “how each quarterback prepares for game week.”

Here’s how Vinnie Malhotra, executive producer for ESPN Content Development described the show:

“Depth Chart is a perfect fit for our YQB initiative, which explores the complexities of being a quarterback both on and off the field,” he said. “This position is so closely scrutinized that we created this series to draw back the curtain and really show fans what it takes to play quarterback in one of America’s top college football programs.”

In addition to the Hogs, the series will also feature Auburn, Oklahoma State and Wisconsin. It is set to begin airing on ESPN at 6p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 5, and will continue to air Wednesdays in October.

The series will conclude with the Arkansas episode Oct. 26.
