Zooloo’s is now called Infusion, FYI

A banner announcing a name change for Zooloo’s (now called Infusion) hangs over the door of 416 W. Dickson Street in Fayetteville.

You know that old saying, “Out with the Zooloo’s, in with the Infusion?”

OK, that’s not an old saying, but did you know that as of Saturday, Sept. 10, former Dickson Street Mardi Gras bar Zooloo’s had received a makeover, and is now called Infusion?

Cheryl Wahl is still the owner of the bar and most of the staff is still intact, she told us, but otherwise it was time for a change.

“We wanted something nicer, a little more upscale,” Wahl said.

The new bar will feature homemade infused liquors. To start, they have a cinnamon-infused tequilla, strawberry-kiwi rum, ginger gin, and a rosemary-basil-lemon vodka for Bloody Marys.

Zooloo’s officially closed at 2 a.m. after the first home Razorback game of the year on Sept. 3, and the staff began tearing out the old decorations that night. The interior received a new coat of stain on the floor, the walls were patched and painted, the bathrooms were remodeled, the bar re-finished, and the place reopened with the new name on Saturday, Sept. 10.

“We still need a sign, but otherwise, we pulled it off in a week,” Wahl said.

It looks bigger in there. Have you seen it yet?
