Colin Hardaway is back in town for a show with The Commoners at LIT Friday night

If I were you guys, I’d keep your Saturday night plans flexible.

If the Razorbacks win their football game against Alabama, Dickson Street is gonna be crazy fun. Just keep that in mind.

Friday

George’s Majestic Lounge has happy hour favorites Earl & Them kicking off the weekend. Later on, former Cross Canadian Ragweed frontman Cody Canada’s new band The Departed will take the stage. Also, Charliehorse will play the lounge at around 8 p.m.

Legacy Blues Lounge also has a happy hour show with house band Big Bluesy, and Hogtown Hot Club will play the late show.

Colin Hardaway recently moved to New York City, but he’ll be back in town Friday night for a special show with The Commoners at LIT. According to the Facebook event for the show, admission is free.

Smoke & Barrel Tavern has Sad Daddy (featuring Joe Sundell on banjo), and Kingfish has The Great Scotts.

Saturday

If you feel like hanging out with the mayor on Saturday, you could go on the Fall Trail Tour. Mayor Jordan will lead the tour, which begins with a look at the new butterfly pavilion at Botanical Garden of the Ozarks at 9 a.m.

The Razorbacks are playing arguably their biggest football game of the season when they take on Alabama on Saturday at 2:30 p.m. The game will be televised by CBS. The Hogs are going to win.

Thunderlizards

There’s a big salsa music party happening at George’s beginning at 2 p.m. on Saturday. It’s called Arkansalsa, and will feature performances by The ArkanSalsa All Star Band, Calle Soul, Black Pearl, Ynzomnio, Ocie Fisher and the Soulful Sound, Alex Real, The Miami Stream Connection with DJ Zee, and others. Here’s some more info.

Rogue Pizza Co. has two shows Saturday night. Fair To Midland, Day After Mourning, Surf de Soleil, and The People in Paper are playing one stage, and 1 oz. Jig and Los Angeles-based The Wreckards are playing the other. That’s at least six bands.

Tulsa’s garage-y, surf-y band The Escatones will be in town for a show at Smoke & Barrel with locals The Thunderlizards Saturday night.

Also, there’s an Inner Party reunion show at The Lightbulb Club with locals Dreamfast and A Good Fight also taking the stage.

Sunday

The Fayetteville Public Library is hosting an event called 10×10 Countdown Conversations to preview some of the Walton Arts Center’s upcoming 10×10 Art Series shows.

Sunday is also the last chance to see TheatreSquared’s Boeing-Boeing at Nadine Baum Studios.
