We were excited to find out this morning that the Fayetteville Flyer was featured on another list of standout Instagram accounts, this one from The Next Web in the form of 10 inspiring accounts to follow on Instagram.
“Even though this is a localised account, for the town of Fayetteville in Arkansas, it’s still interesting for anyone to follow, due to the diverse amount of content they share,” writes TWN’s Lauren Fisher. “It’s a great example of how local news organisations can use Instagram to tell stories in a whole new way.”

A few months ago, the Flyer was mentioned on an Instagram blog post titled, “Getting Your News on Instagram.”
In case you’re unfamiliar, Instagram is an iPhone photo sharing app that is growing in popularity. In fact, the service yesterday announced the registration of its 10 millionth user.
For the most part, we share photos that are supplementary to our coverage here on the Flyer. Occasionally, however, we’ll announce news and other tidbits before posting anything to our main website.
