Arkansas Lottery vice president of gaming operations David Barden has resigned, according to a report from the Arkansas News Bureau.

The news comes just two weeks following the resignation of lottery director Ernie Passailaigue, who stepped down following a series of missteps.

Lottery commission chair Dianne Lamberth read Barden’s letter of resignation at Monday’s meeting of the Lottery Commission’s Personnel Committee. According to reports, Barden’s letter did not explain why he was stepping down.

Lamberth also announced that Passailaigue’s resignation, originally set for Oct. 7, had been moved to Oct. 3.
