The event, which is technically the first official practice of the season, will feature scrimmages by the Arkansas men’s and women’s basketball teams, a “hot shot” competition featuring both squads and a University of Arkansas student, and a dunk competition. Coaches Anderson, along with women’s coach Tom Collen will introduce their teams and offer comments on the upcoming season.

Arkansas is hoping to improve last year’s 18-13 season under former coach John Pelphrey. The Hogs return two of their top four scorers from a year ago, and have added a recruiting class ranked nationally in the top ten.

“Primetime at the Palace” begins at 7 p.m. It is free to attend, and open to the public.
