The first ever Artini Festival (Art and Martinis. Get it?) is set to debut at the Fayetteville Town Center December 1-2, and organizers are currently seeking artists for the inaugural event.

The festival is organized by staff of the Fayetteville Town Center and the Fayetteville Forward Creative Economy Action Group, who are hoping the event can become a replacement for the now defunct Fayetteville Arts Festival.

“We had hoped that someone would step up and bring back the arts festival,” said Town Center facilities manager Sandra Bennett. “It was just such a great event, and we decided, ‘Well, I guess we could do it.”

In addition to the art show and sale, organizers plan to add a martini element, with seven signature martinis from seven local bartenders. The event is free to attend, but the fee for the martini tasting is $25.

Artist booth space is between $100 and $200 and the deadline for application is Nov. 15. Artists will be notified of acceptance by Nov. 21.
