Back in March, local theatre company TheatreSquared announced a $275,000 grant from the Walton Family Foundation that would result in a senior level director of advancement. It appears as though their search is complete.

The organization announced Tuesday the hiring of Elizabeth France for the new full-time development officer position.

“We’re excited to welcome Elizabeth not only because she’s passionate about T2’s mission, but because she has the skills and commitment needed to help us build community relationships, match great programs with the resources to fund them, and sustain the theatre for the long term,” said T2 managing director Martin Miller.

France is a native Arkansan who returns to Fayetteville after five years in Washington DC where she attended graduate school, and acted in the Kennedy Center Theatre for Young Audiences as well as the Shakespeare Theatre Company. France also acted in T2’s inaugural production, “Bad Dates” back in 2006.

“I am thrilled to return home to join TheatreSquared,” she said. “With the theatre’s exponential growth over these past years and the recent national recognition from the American Theatre Wing, it’s an exciting time to be joining TheatreSquared—and to be back in Northwest Arkansas.”
