Arkansas freshman BJ Young won the dunk competition during “Primetime at the Palace” after leaping over a team manager for his final slam of the night.

The Arkansas Razorbacks men’s basketball team is set to play its annual Red-White scrimmage at 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 30 in Bud Walton Arena.

This will be the second chance for Hog fans to see the new team. The Razorbacks’ season officially began when Mike Anderson unveiled the new lineup during “Primetime at the Palace” Oct. 14.

The Red-White scrimmage will be Arkansas’ final game simulation before opening its exhibition schedule Friday, Nov. 4 against Texas A&M-Commerce.

The event is free to the public, but fans are encouraged to bring non-perishable food items for distribution to area food banks.

“Using a Razorback basketball preseason event to collect items for area food banks is something that we did for years,” said Anderson. “It is my hope that everyone will be able to donate to a great cause. There is no reason that the citizens of Northwest Arkansas should go hungry.”

Along with the scrimmage, fans will get a chance to meet the players during a 45-minute autograph session on the Bud Walton Arena concourse beginning at 1:45 p.m.

Season tickets for Razorback basketball games are on sale at the Razorback Ticket Center by calling 1-800-982-HOGS or at ArkansasRazorbacks.com. Ticket packages are $500 and include admission to all 20 regular season games at Bud Walton Arena as well as both exhibition contests.
