University of Arkansas releases 2011 construction update video

The University of Arkansas has released a 5-minute video outlining the infrastructure updates across campus this year.

With all the construction on the University of Arkansas campus, it’s becoming difficult to keep track of what’s being remodeled, refurbished, rebuilt, and reopened.

Thanks to a tweet from @TheOzarkEcho, we were alerted to a recent, but unlisted, 5-minute YouTube video outlining all the infrastructure updates across campus.

Among the list of projects recently completed are renovations to Peabody Hall, Davis Hall and the Old Field House next to the Arkansas Union.

Current projects highlighted in the video include renovations to Ozark Hall, Vol Walker Hall, and the Student Union which is set for an extensive overhaul.

Of course, the upcoming athletics projects are included as well as Centennial Gate along Maple Street.

From the video

All this construction makes for some extra dust and rerouting of pedestrian traffic and for that we apologize. We’re working as efficiently and effectively as possible to protect our common environment. The spectacular growth and success of the university has required us to accelerate the pace of some long-needed improvements.
