Evan Dando will bring the latest iteration of The Lemonheads to town for a show at George’s Jan. 29.

Remember The Lemonheads?

The popular 90’s band is still fronted by Evan Dando, they are still touring around the country, and “It’s a Shame About Ray” is still a pretty sweet record.

Also, they’re coming to Fayetteville for a show at George’s Jan. 29.

The band, whose only constant member has been Dando since he formed the group with two high school friends in 1986, has gone through a lot of changes. According to the bio on their website, The Lemonheads have, by a conservative estimate, gone through more than ten bass players and at least a dozen drummers over the years.

After several years hiatus, they (he?) released a record of covers in 2009 called “Varshons,” and they’ll release an acoustic record called “Hotel Sessions” on Feb. 7.

Tickets to the show at George’s are $15 ($18.39 after fees), and are on sale now at their ticketing site.
