In case you missed it…

The Occupy Northwest Arkansas camp has dwindled from about 50 people to a half dozen tents set up on the east balcony of the Fayetteville Town Center.

The Fayetteville A&P Commission yesterday awarded $182,828 in funds to 22 events and organizations including Last Night the NWA Cheese Dip Classic, Fayetteville Freedom Fireworks and TheatreSquared.

Renovations began Monday at the Cosmopolitan Hotel in downtown Fayetteville. According to reports, the hotel will see a major facelift including a new name. In the meantime, 50 of the hotel’s employees will be without work unless they find new jobs.

The Arkansas football team moved up two spots to No. 6. in the BCS standings released on Sunday night, matching their highest position in school history.

Nerd Poetry Slam

Tonight is opening night of Rock of Ages at the Walton Arts Center.

The arena-rock love story is told through the hits of Journey, Whitesnake, Poison, Twisted Sister and other classic rock hair bands.
