Austin-based Heartless Bastards will be back in Fayetteville for a show at George’s March 8.

Remember when Jenny Lewis sold out a show at George’s Majestic Lounge back in the summer of 2009? Remember how awesome the opening band was that night?

Well, that band – Austin-based Heartless Bastards – will be back in town for a March 8 date at George’s, the venue announced this week.

For those who aren’t familiar, Heartless Bastards were discovered in an Akron bar back in 2005 by Black Keys drummer Patrick Carney. Since then, the band (led by the howling vocals of charismatic singer/songwriter Erika Wennerstrom) has released three full-length records, including the stellar 2009 album The Mountain.

Their fourth studio album, The Arrow is due in February, and, as it happens, the first track from it popped up on StereoGum earlier today (Dec. 1).

Tickets to the show are $10 ($12.93 including fees), and are now on sale at the George’s ticketing site.
