Fayetteville Public Library is conducting its second annual holiday pet food drive to help fill Ranger’s Pantry, a city service that provides free dog and cat food to pet owners who are experiencing difficult financial times.

According to a post on the library’s Facebook page, the pantry shelves are currently empty.

Library officials are asking the public to drop off bags and cans of dog and cat food under the Christmas tree in the Children’s Department from now until Tuesday, Dec. 20.
