A section of Garland Ave. closed temporarily yesterday following a head-on collision between a pickup and a Razorback Transit bus. According to reports, there were no life threatening injuries. (KNWA, NWAOnline)

After winning the 7A state championship game earlier this month, the FHS Bulldog football team was surprised yesterday by a gauntlet walk and quick pep rally at the school. The team thought they were gathering for a team photo. Here’s a video.

Wednesday To-do

Anyone interested in volunteering for Last Night Fayetteville, the new New Year’s Eve celebration on the Square, should attend a meeting tonight at 6 p.m. in the Fayetteville Public Library. Expect a quick info session followed by assignments of volunteer positions. All volunteers get two free tickets to the event.

The U.S. Postal Service will hold a meeting today at 6 p.m. an the UARK Bowl to gather public reaction to its proposal to consolidate its Northwest Arkansas mail processing center with one in Little Rock.
