The Fayetteville Planning Commission unanimously approved plans for a 183-unit apartment project at the corner of Maple Street and West Avenue. The project is one of two large-scale apartment complexes set to be built in that neighborhood.

The 7th-ranked Razorback football team practiced yesterday in preparation for the upcoming game against 11th-ranked Kansas State in the 76th AT&T Cotton Bowl Classic.

OPS Jam Slam

Head coach Bobby Petrino and members of the football team will sign autographs before tonight’s Razorback basketball game against Eastern Kentucky in Bud Walton Arena. Autographs will be signed from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Tipoff for the game is 7 p.m.

TheatreSquared begins another week of performance for its version of “It’s a Wonderful Life” at Nadine Baum Studios off Dickson Street. Tonight’s performance begins at 7 p.m.

Also tonight, there’s a poetry slam at Rogue, a comedy open mic night at West End and a couple of local singer-songwriters at Pesto and JJ’s.
