Members of Fayetteville’s Creative Economy Action Group promote their upcoming Last Night celebration during the 2011 Lights of the Ozarks parade on the downtown square.

If party hats need to be dry cleaned, and if noise-makers need to be tuned-up, it’s probably a good idea to go ahead and get that done. New Year’s Eve is just over a week away.

This year, the folks behind the city’s Creative Economy Action Group are planning a celebration on the Fayetteville square, called Last Night, and the final schedule of events was recently released.

A puppet parade, a “Hog Drop” (kind of like a ball drop, but with a Hog), fireworks, as well as performances by local musicians, comedians, actors, and more are planned for the new event.

Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for children (VIP tickets are available), and are on sale at lastnightfayetteville.com.
