Fayetteville police Cpl. Terry Davis, 46, was arrested Tuesday in connection with felony first-degree battery and aggravated assault, according to the Washington County Sheriff’s website.

Deputies reportedly responded to 10177 N. Whitehouse Rd. early Tuesday morning where a man told police that Cpl. Davis had entered his home and threatened to kill him.
Multiple reports identify the alleged victim as the boyfriend of Davis’ ex-wife.
Reports also indicate that Davis has been placed on paid administrative leave while the matter is investigated.
