For locals who simply can’t wait for this year’s Wakarusa festival to see Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros, there’s some good news.

According to their website, the 11-piece ’60s-inspired psychedelic folk band will break out of the studio in March to play a select run of dates showcasing some of the new music they’ve just recorded.

One of the five dates calls for a stop in Tulsa at Cain’s Ballroom on March 18. Tickets are about $29 and are available at cainsballroom.com and Cinderblock.

Set to open the show is Dallas-based electro/experimental act, New Fumes.
