LGBT author Mark Brennan Rosenberg to visit Fayetteville on Feb. 16

Submitted by Sara Baker

Mark Brennan Rosenberg, author of Eating My Feelings and Blackouts and Breakdowns will be at Speakeasy Lounge and Nightclub on Thursday, Feb. 16.

Mr. Rosenberg is currently on a nationwide book tour where he chooses to promote his writings at prominent gay bars rather than retail book stores. His evening will involve a series of readings along with a cocktail party for those in attendance.

Blackouts and Breakdowns is a collection of short stories told in a very entertaining manor. The subject manor ranges from hilarious tales of drunken nights to sobering realities of the GLBT life. He explores the intrinsic link between being gay and alcohol abuse by self-exposing some of his worst, yet funniest experiences. Mr. Rosenberg is now sober, but somehow, manages not to judge those around him traversing the same lifestyle-terrain he once embraced.

Doors will open at 7 p.m. with readings beginning after 8 p.m.
