An ordinance to allow strings of red holiday lights to remain on an elm tree on the downtown square was left on the second reading in order to allow the A&P Commission to clarify their request.

The owners of Bliss Cupcake Cafe are opening a second location in Fayetteville next to Slim Chickens on Joyce Boulevard.

A local group is planning a series of “cash mobs,” or organized en masse shopping events where large groups converge on a business, and are asked to spend $20 each on the same day at a pre-selected local place to help stimulate business.

We posted a brief overview of action taken at last night’s City Council meeting including links to PDF documents for each item.

Brian Crowne, who books concerts at George’s and the Arkansas Music Pavilion, asked us to ask you what bands you’d like to see perform in Fayetteville this year. So, let’s hear it, folks.

Speaking of music, it was recently announced that the YMSB’s Harvest Music Festival will be back on Mulberry Mountain this year from Oct. 11-13.
