Earlier this week, we asked Flyer readers what bands they’d like to see in Fayetteville in 2012. A few of those people said Hayes Carll, and for those people, it looks like their wish has already come true.
According to George’s website, the Hendrix alum and acclaimed songwriter will be making a return trip to Fayetteville for a show on April 26.
Carll has written songs with Ray Wylie Hubbard, Guy Clark and Darrell Scott, and his 2008 track “She Left Me for Jesus” earned an American Music Award for Song of the Year.
His latest release KMAG YOYO was named the No. 1 album of 2011 by the Americana Music Association, and the No. 3 Country/Americana album by Spin magazine.
