Coming here: El Ten Eleven, March 11 at The Lightbulb Club

Every year, in the weeks leading up to and immediately following South By Southwest, several of the bands heading down to Austin show up on the calendars of our local venues. The first of those bands we’ve noticed for this year is El Ten Eleven, coming to The Lightbulb Club on Sunday, March 11.

The Los Angeles band is known for its dancey instrumental tunes, and for providing several tracks on the soundtrack to the 2007 film, Helvetica. Also, band member Kristian Dunn plays a crazy looking double-necked guitar-bass combo. It’s pretty rad.

Portland’s Girlfriends will open the show along with locals Teenagers.

We’re not sure what the cover will be, but we’re guessing it will be less than $10. Possibly more. Update: It’s $5 at the door.
