Thursday Events

Loretta Lynn

Coal miner’s daughter Loretta Lynn is town tonight for a rescheduled performance at the Walton Arts Center. Lynn underwent knee surgery last year, and though her recovery went well, many of her fall concert dates were postponed including her stop in Fayetteville. Tickets for the original September date will be honored tonight. According to the Walton Arts Center website, all other tickets are sold out.

Another possible “sold”out show tonight in Fayetteville could come from comedian Michael Ian Black. Black will perform a free show at 8 p.m. in the Verizon Ballroom inside the Student Union on the UA campus. Doors open at 7:30 p.m. and seats are on a first come, first served basis. If you miss out on tickets and don’t want to head home, a live broadcast of Black’s performance will be shown in the Union Theater, just one floor down from the ballroom.
