Sidewalk work on Razorback Road is set to begin next week near Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium.

The project includes construction of a new sidewalk, curb and gutter along the east side of the road between Cleveland Street and Maple Street.

The sidewalk was originally scheduled to be constructed last year, but was delayed when transportation crews were reassigned to work on drainage projects related to the April 2011 flood.

Work is expected to begin Tuesday, Feb. 21 and continue through March 31. Scheduled work hours are 7 a.m. to about 3:30 p.m. each day.

Construction will require closure of the north bound lane of Razorback Road during work hours. The street will be open to regular traffic at night and on weekends.

Over four miles of sidewalk improvements are scheduled for 2012.
