NWA Fashion Week debuts March 5-10

It’s new. It’s attractive. It’s fashionable, and if things go well, it’s gonna raise a lot of money for a lot of great local organizations.

It’s the first ever NWA Fashion Week, and it’s set to begin on Monday, March 5 in Fayetteville.

The event is the result of the collaboration of several local retailers who realized that they could get more milage out of their annual charitable fashion shows if they all worked together.

“We really wanted to bring all the fashion shows together under one format of ‘Fashion for Philanthropy,'” said Jade Terminella, one of the organizers of NWA Fashion Week. “Fayetteville is a great place for fashion, our community offers so much specialty shopping. The scene is already here, we’re just bringing it all together for a week packed full of fashion and beauty.”

Well-known annual shows High Heels for High Hopes, Rock the Runway for Education, Unzipped, Strut for a Mutt, Globoluxe, Art Amiss Fashion, Runway for Life, and others have joined forces to create a week long celebration of fashion, couture, and beauty in Northwest Arkansas, all with a goal to raise money for local organizations.

Local charities benefiting from the festivities include 7 Hills Homeless Center, American Cancer Society, Art Amiss, Northwest Arkansas Children’s Shelter, Restore Humanity, Single Parent Scholarship Fund of NWA and Spay Arkansas. Attendees of the various fashion events scheduled for the week can choose which local organization they’d like to support when they purchase their tickets.
