Fayetteville Police Chief Greg Tabor today announced that out of 23 businesses checked in a recent alcohol compliance stakeout, five citations were issued.
In a press release, Tabor said violations were found at Mermaids, Celi’s Mexican Restaurant, Hjem Restaurant, Fresco Cafe and Pesto Cafe.

The Fayetteville Police Department frequently conducts random checks for compliance of businesses responsible for the sale of alcohol around town.
The most recent efforts were Wednesday, March 7.
One employee at each location was issued a citation for Unknowingly Furnishing Alcohol to a Minor.
