You know the old song that goes, “Crepe trailer, crepe trailer, let’s all go to the crepe trailer.” I think it came out in the 80’s.

Come Monday, we’ll all be singing that song, with the opening of a brand new crepe trailer on Dickson Street called Mountain Crepes.

The mobile restaurant is operated by locals John Lester and Bo Clower, and is already parked next to Black Sheep Salon at 608 W. Dickson St.

Lester, who grew up in Rogers, said he got the idea for the food trailer during his time living in a well-known Texas town.

“I moved to Austin, and they have a lot of great food trailers down there,” he said. “A good friend of mine does these great crepes, so he moved here and we decided to try it.”

The Mountain Crepes menu is already available online, and features about 25 different crepes, with a good mix of both the sweet and savory variety.

Lester said the trailer will open daily at about 10 a.m. and will close at around the time the bars close, or shortly after.

“Our plan is to be open late,” he said. “We’re just going to see how it works.”

Mountain Crepes is set to open Monday, March 12 at around 10 a.m.
