News Briefs

The Fayetteville Senior Activity and Wellness Center will host another of Mayor Lioneld Jordan’s Town Hall Meetings tonight. About 100 people showed up for last year’s meeting at the center.

Todd Gill, Fayetteville Flyer

Mayor Lioneld Jordan will hold the first Town Hall Meeting of the year at 7 p.m. Monday, March 12 at the Fayetteville Senior Activity and Wellness Center, 945 S. College Avenue. As with all town hall meetings, this event is for anyone interested in knowing more about local government issues. Town Hall meetings offer direct contact and conversation with Mayor Lioneld Jordan and various city department directors.

All indications are that the first ever NWA Fashion Week was a resounding success. The shows were sold out and a lot of money was raised for some great local charities. Here are a few photos from the final runway event.

Looking for a dish to make this week? Our latest Flyer recipe features flaky tuna mixed together with chopped spinach, a few breadcrumbs and a dollop of creamy sauce before being spooned into pasta shells, topped with more sauce and breadcrumbs, and baked until it’s browned and bubbling.
