Considering the fact that it’s been almost a month since we mentioned the Fayetteville Roots Festival will be announcing their lineup during a special event on Sunday, March 18 at Greenhouse Grille, we thought a reminder might be in order.
Consider yourself reminded.
Boston-based bands Joy Kills Sorrow and Lake Street Dive, along with locals Three Penny Acre will perform Sunday night to celebrate the announcement. At some point during the event, the full lineup for the 2012 festival will be revealed.
Organizer Bryan Hembree told us recently that they’re swinging for the fences for the 2012 festival, set for Aug. 23-26 at various locations around Fayetteville. We can’t wait to see what he comes up with.
So far, we know that Joy Kills Sorrow, The Steel Wheels, Carrie Elkin, Danny Schmidt, Ryan Spearman, and 3 Penny Acre will be performing this August.
Only 100 tickets will be sold to the announcement party Sunday night. They’re $15 each and are on sale now at the festival’s ticketing website.
The show starts at around 6 p.m.
