Rainy day demolition at Fayetteville High School

Despite all-day drizzle and rainfall yesterday, a wrecking crew began demolition of the Fayetteville High School auxiliary gym. The school is undergoing a $95 million renovation which will also include demolition of the main gym, cafeteria, and the band and choir rooms by June.

A recent update to the rockIT Music Week website includes information about the second-year event including the nominees for the 2012 NAMA awards.

The second annual Bicycle Fayetteville Days festival is set for April 21 and 22.

In music news, two members of Bone Thugs-N-Harmony will play at Rogue this weekend. Also, Gavin DeGraw and Colbie Calliat will play at the AMP on June 17.

Every Time I Die

There are a handful of music choices for tonight including New York hardcore band Every Time I Die at the Stone Pony, Carolina Story and Star & Micey at Smoke & Barrel, and Carter Sampson at Kingfish.

Also tonight, the Fayetteville Public Library will screen the documentary film “Still on the Hill: Ozark – A Celebration of Song” at 6:30 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.
