Fayetteville police have released the name of the officer who was shot during a six-hour standoff at Bedford Loop Apartments Sunday morning.

The officer is Blake Williamson, an employee of the Fayetteville Police Department since April 2009. Prior to his service in Fayetteville, Williamson worked as an officer for the Russellville Police Department for over eight years.
