In just over six weeks, Block Avenue will be rocking again when the second annual Block Street Block Party takes over on May 20.

A total of five music stages are planned for the one-day event, and while many details have yet to be released, the artist lineup for one stage recently surfaced on Facebook.

According to a recent post on The Lightbulb Club page, local bands Thunderlizards, Glory Bones, Teenagers, and Fauxnz, along with A+ Setup (Fort Smith) and Color Club (Little Rock) art set to perform on the Lightbulb Club/Sound Warehouse Stage. The stage will be located just across the street from the Lightbulb Club on Block Avenue.

Roger Barrett, who helped put together the lineup, said the goal was to continue to showcase some great Fayetteville bands, and to also add a couple regional bands to the stage this year.

“We’re pretty excited about the lineup,” said Barrett. “I think Fauxnz is the only band who played it last year, so we’re glad some others will get a chance this year.”

The details of the Adventure Subaru/Tables & Ale Stage, the Bank of Fayetteville/Pickin’ Post Stage, The Zone1 Stage, and the newly-added Little Bread Co./Block Street Business Association Stage are expected to be released in the coming weeks.

For now, who’s ready for Block Street Block Party 2.0?
